The Five Best Halloween Kids Music Videos... Ever?

Well, of course not. I mean, I'm sure a Halloween kids music video will come out next year that will knock number 5 below out of the list. [Ed.: Heck, I forgot one already, added as #6, that should've been in the top 5.] But they're five videos six worth your family's 15 minutes or so. 5. John Hadfield - "Robot Monkey Head" [YouTube] OK, technically speaking this isn't a Halloween video. But it darn well should be. The list continues...

John Hadfield is turning to music videos to help him fund his new album -- he says on his Facebook page that proceeds from downloading this new video on iTunes or CDBaby will go toward funding his new album. Probably worth 99 cents just for the idea of writing a song called "Bookmobile Submarine" and then talking about microfiche, which is a joke that I think you have to be, like, at least 23 years old to get. Decent animation, it's a fun little 2:30 video. John Hadfield - "Bookmobile Submarine" [YouTube]

The only serious problem with this video, for John Hadfield's goofy, made-for-Dr.-Demento classic "Robot Monkey Head," is that it's about a month too late. Seriously, totally Halloween appropriate. Oh, and if you're a 7-year-old boy, you'll go nuts for this video, a relatively literal translation of this song, natch. John Hadfield - "Robot Monkey Head" [YouTube]
