Description: A gentle animated video from Dennis Mazur for Doherty's gentle song about a flamingo who, like Doctor Worm, most enjoys drumming. I often look for the little touches that I like to think were thrown in because they made the creator(s) laugh, and in the case of this video, it's the sight of the flamingo zipping through his weekly schedule on his smartphone.

OK, perhaps it's not the very first theme that leaps to mind, but the finished product from director Greg Lytle is every bit as nifty as the song. Description: It's an animated slideshow about... a really tall hamburger. To say any more about the surreal Shel Silverstein-esque song (and video) would sort of spoil it. It's goofy and I don't think it's everyone's cup of tea, but the song from the Portland, Oregon-based songwriter and the illustrations from his wife Kathryn is worth a couple minutes of exploration.

Description: I'm not sure I can condone the Canadian spelling of mustaches in this song, the growing of mustaches (I was not a Movember participant), or the use of MS Paint or some Flash-based animation software to draw mustaches. But the combination of the three, plus the assorted cameos, I guess I (and your kids) can live with that.

Description: For the video for this slower Americana-tinged tune about a six-year-old girl wanting to encourage a more ecologically sound lifestyle, the band and animators Planet Sunday wisely shift gears from the blockier, funnier animation style they typically employ to softer line drawings, with a less finessed visual composition. It matches the song very well and is, in spots, plain lovely.
