Buttermilk Biscuit Busts A Move

Everybody knows who the secret weapon is on The Biscuit Brothers' TV show. It's Tiny Scarecrow, of course. But after Tiny, the Brothers' other secret weapon is the somewhat underutilized Buttermilk Biscuit. Well, perhaps underutilized until now, because here's a feature of her very own, "Buttermilk's Dance Party." The concept -- teaching dance moves -- is pretty basic, but the execution is simple and elegant. Now if they could do some sort of cross-promotion with that Dance Dance Revolution game, they'd be set. The Biscuit Brothers - "Oh Susanna" (Buttermilk's Dance Party) If that's too easy or too hard for your kids (or, er, you), a couple more videos after the jump.

Video: "Lovely, Love My Family" - The Roots. For Reals.

I can't tell you how many people visit here looking for information on the fabulous song "Lovely, Love My Family" by Philly's The Roots on the new Yo Gabba Gabba! soundtrack. Actually, I can. It's a lot. And so, just because I streamed "Lovely...", that wasn't enough. I also linked to a YouTube video which, unsurprisingly, was taken down. But now you can watch on Nick Jr's own site right here. Yes, there's an ad beforehand. Oh, well... Enjoy. (And stick around, you can also see the video for the Ting Tings' cover of "Happy Birthday").

Radio Reminder

Whether you like to hear me live or taped on the radio, you can do so in both ways... First, in less than an hour, you can hear me make my first appearance (so to speak) on Sirius/XM's Kids Place Live at around 8 PM Eastern. Second, this weekend be sure to turn in to Spare The Rock, Spoil The Child where you can hear the announcement of the winners in the 2008 Fids and Kamily Awards. You can find something good on the radio!

Listen To This: "Lovely, Love My Family" - The Roots (Yo Gabba Gabba!)

TheRootsYGG.jpgWell, I've told you about the second season of Yo Gabba Gabba! -- that's going strong. And I've told you about the upcoming soundtrack, set to be released tomorrow through iTunes. Now both are set to come together in one giant you-got-peanut-butter-in-my-chocolate sort of combination. Because I've got an mp3 from that soundtrack for your listening pleasure that -- unlike most of the rest of the album -- is actually a Season Two track. Trust me, even if you're all Yo Gabba Whatta?, you're going to want to hear this...
